Pinstone wins at Herefordshire Business Awards

Pinstone is over the moon to receive the prestigious accolade of ‘Medium to Large Business of the Year’ at the 2022 Herefordshire Business Awards.

It’s a proud moment for the 25-strong team, which recognises our company ethos for developing professional, rural careers and delivering commercial results to rival any city-based agency. Nine of our PR team were at the awards ceremony to celebrate our success on the night!

People-first PR

Officially certified as a WEConnect Women-led enterprise, the judges commended Pinstone’s people-centric approach, both in terms of delivering results for clients and supporting all employees to be their very best. Read how we’re striving to be ‘the bees’ knees’ in all areas here.

We reported 40% growth in our financial year 2021 to 2022, recruiting six new members to the team, with Pinstone being the first rung on the career ladder for two graduates.

Our growth has also been reflected in our Board, expanding from the original two founders to a collective of five this year, including one non-executive director.

Achieving success for our clients

The team’s hard work has translated into valued results for our national client base, operating across the farming sector, rural environment and land-based industries.

Our 2022 client survey revealed the average score given for rating their relationship with Pinstone was 86% – evidence of our success in raising their profile.

Striving to become a B-Corp certified business

Furthermore, in spring 2022 Pinstone made a commitment to become a B-Corp certified business. Changing the official company status from being shareholder-led to stakeholder-led, we’re passionate about putting people and planet, as well as profit, at the centre of the organisation.

As well as investment in our employees and clients, environmental aspects have also involved planting wildflower meadows and erecting beehives locally, and switching suppliers to those also committed to making a difference.

Although most of our clients operate nationally, it’s important to us that our business activities have a positive impact locally too. We will continue engaging in the Herefordshire business community and operating in a way which will always strive to put people and the environment first.
