New opportunities to join our growing team

I can hardly believe it but it’s that time of year again when we start to think about welcoming the next intake of fresh faces to our growing team. We’ll be attending a selection of university graduate and placement fairs over the next few weeks to meet students and fly the flag for ‘team Pinstone’.

What does a career in agri-food comms at Pinstone look like?

A question we often get asked by prospective placements students and graduates is, ‘What does a career in agri-food comms look like?’ For me, the key thing that stands out is that it’s a chance to combine a passion for agriculture, or the rural environment, with a knack for words and conveying information in an accessible way that really resonates with people.

Working with between 30 and 40 influential rural, agricultural and food supply chain businesses, there’s always lots going on. No two days are ever the same – something that the team often highlights as one their favourite aspects of the job.

For example, one day you could be out on farm filming content for use on digital platforms and the next day you could find yourself writing a technical piece of editorial copy for one of the leading agricultural publications. It really is that varied!

40% of our team joined us as account executives after graduating – it’s where I started out and I’ve never looked back. We’ve got a great reputation for ‘growing our own’ and invest heavily in cultivating professional PR and marketing consultants. It’s the starting point for a life-long career and you’re never alone, having the camaraderie of the team where everyone’s on their own journey on the Pinstone ladder.
