Growing up on a dairy farm in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, and now living on my husband’s beef and arable farm in Angus, I have always had strong links to the farming community.

After graduating from Edinburgh University with an MA in English Literature and Italian, I made the move west to Glasgow Caledonian University to complete my Masters in Multimedia Journalism. This was where my career in agricultural journalism was born, starting with regular work experience at The Scottish Farmer followed by a move to London to work for Horticulture Week and then Farmers Weekly.

A desire to move back to Scotland led to me joining the team at the Press and Journal, where I worked for almost nine years as Farming Editor before moving to Pinstone to take up my role as Technical Content Manager.

I love writing and interviewing people to find out more about all the wonderful and exciting work going on in the farming sector. I’m a stickler for detail and feel passionately about providing the best content we can.

In my spare time I enjoy baking, gardening, playing piano and walking my Labrador, Rosie.
