Pinstone has, this month, been officially recognised as a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise by the globally recognised organisation, WEConnect International.
It’s a fabulous accolade that supports female entrepreneurs.
Our founder, Catherine, set up Pinstone in 2005 and has grown the PR and marketing comms agency to a £1m+ company, leading in comms for the food and farming supply chain sector.
It’s a fact that women still don’t set up businesses at the same rate as men. And so, companies that are validated as owned, managed and controlled by women certified by WEConnect International are now more easily sourced by potential customers in the UK and globally.
“I’m incredibly proud of the business we’ve cultivated – with the support of a fantastic team – over 16 years,” says Catherine.
“It’s been a real challenge to drive a company forward in the face of societal pressures to conform to more traditional female stereotypes. However, the journey has also been tremendously rewarding and has helped instil our company values. We’re career orientated and have a mission of ‘being the best we can be’. We now support the livelihoods of 22 team members and also actively support family values that can and do sit alongside meaningful career progression.”
