RUMA Conference – Building on Industry Success
October 29 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm£175
The next RUMA (Responsible Use of Medicines in Agriculture) Alliance’s biennial conference – Building on Success – will be held on 29 October 2019 at the J. Sainsbury’s Conference Centre, London.
Key topics include:
- How do we build on the UK farming’s reductions in antibiotic use?
- Has stewardship helped stem the emergence of resistance on farms and in the food chain?
- What other threats or opportunities will affect animal health and welfare, food safety and our responsible use of medicines within future supply chains?
With top speakers from Government, veterinary medicine and the global arena, the conference will take stock of the progress made in antibiotic stewardship over the past two years, whether the industry in on track to achieve targets, and what the future landscape of responsible use could look like in a country split over Brexit and a world split over sustainable food policies.
The conference format will be interactive, with ample opportunity for delegates to engage in Q&A sessions with speakers and panellists. The programme is available on the RUMA website.
The conference will be of interest to anyone interested in food policy and food safety, animal health and welfare, and veterinary and human medicine – for example farmers, veterinary surgeons, SQPs (Suitably Qualified Persons), food processors, quality standard managers, politicians, regulators, food retailers, consumer groups, animal health companies and the media.
