February 25 - February 26

Starting Tuesday 25 February, the annual, two-day NFU Conference will welcome thousands of British farmers and industry stakeholders to hear the NFU’s priorities for the next year, along with opportunities and challenges facing the food and farming sector.

NFU president, Minette Batters, will deliver the opening address followed by a political session with Defra Secretary of State, Theresa Villiers, and a session on trade and farming standards.

Cross-sector workshops will take place on day two, covering climate change, animal health and welfare, rural crime and future farming support.

Associate director, Hannah Lloyd, attended the NFU conference and Oxford Farming Conference for the first time in the same year and found both events excellent for meeting key contacts and hearing first-hand the views on the future of the industry.

“The NFU Conference provides a great opportunity to get yourself fully-immersed and up-to-date on the current political agenda in food and farming. It’s geared to the farming members but remains at the forefront of the news agenda with well-known speakers that have the power to change agricultural policy.

“It’s an exciting environment to be surrounded by so many people passionate about the future of farming with delegates of all ages well catered for.”
