Lucy de la Pasture, BSc (hons), BASIS, FACTS
With a wealth of 'hands-on' experience in the field and as a freelance journalist, Lucy holds the position of Account Manager within our team.
After graduating with a degree in Agriculture from Wye College, Lucy began working life in a very cold potato store in Kent on a potato grading line. The Farm Manager spotted that her talents were being wasted and she was recruited as PA to the director of a large farming and contracting business.
On moving to God's county, Herefordshire, Lucy gained her BASIS and FACTS qualifications whilst working at Technicrop (now Frontier) in Ross-on-Wye. She provided agronomy advice on a wide range of crops, with a specialist interest in potatoes, onion and brassica crops.
During this time Lucy became a regular contributor to Crops magazine which she continued to do after choosing to hone her skills as a stockperson within her own farming business of 250 commercial ewes.
Always happiest in a pair of wellies, Lucy typically spends her spare time with either her horses or dogs.
